What is a spliceless joint?
At a glance
A joint position where the cable loops through the closure uncut, so fibres can be spliced into later without opening a new joint.
Why: It leaves a ready access point on the cable for future spurs or nodes without adding splice loss now.
Where: Where a future access point is expected along the route. In high-capacity cable a loop is left at installation.
