What is a cable marker?

At a glance

A durable ID label clipped onto a cable so it can be identified on site: cable ID, type and route.

Why: On a busy route the only way to know which cable is which, safely, is a clear label at the points people work.

Where: At building and cabinet entries, either side of joints and sheath gaps, and at screening conductor earth points (per the legacy FTN labelling spec).
